New Website

Well I finally got around to installing the new website on the server. This is it. I hope that it doesn't look like much has changed. The way the site looks shouldn't have changed much but the back end of the site is very different. The new site should be much easier to maintain, so hopefully the information will be kept more current.

I am still trying to get some of the information moved over from the old site. Mostly I'm missing a bunch of pictures and I am working on a better way to show member projects. I also need to add the old news items.

Geoff Flies his RV-8

Chapter President, Geoff Kimbrough flew his RV-8 for the first time on April 8, 2008.

Made 4 flights - total of 1.8. The airplane flies just like Van advertises - climbs like a bat out of (well you know) and lands like a cub. Cruises at ~200 mph. Temps are all in the green. Stalls at 60 clean and 53 with flaps (mph). Wings level with no aileron pressure. Climbs 1800 fpm @ 120mph.

Congratulations Geoff!!!

First Flight of George Gibson's Startduster Too

Congratulations to George Gibson on the first flight of his Starduster Too. First flight was on August 5, 2007 and judging from the picture, he enjoyed it a little bit.
